The '97 BULLS just hit us with another dope track, "In The Event" via Looped DayDreams today. Murph Watkins and Creative Gold are only three tracks in since their assemblage of '97 BULLS and each track beyond impressive. I'm sure their upcoming mixtape 72-10 will be hard hitting and grandiloquent.

Pusha T talks on Drake and the recent Made In America performance mishap with 2 Chainz.
Pusha T was asked:
"You performed the Made In America concert earlier this month. The second night, after you'd already done it, Drake says, "Now, that's how you bring out 2 Chainz!" Some saw it as a shot. I was just wondering what everyone else is wondering, which is, what is the appropriate way to bring out 2 Chainz?"
"At the end of the day – I guess just speaking on our behalf – we don't give a fuck what Drake says. Like, we don't care. In regards to us, that shit doesn't matter. Like, if you want to talk about the G.O.O.D. Music today and 2 Chainz, we had a mishap, because we have a record that is performed by four different people every night of the week and everybody has different edits of it. Ye's verse – where the beat switches up and it's really chant-y – gets edited out of a lot of people's sets."

After listening to this project from beginning to end I have to say I wasn't at all disappointed. When I listen to a project I break it down piece by piece from production to lyrics. I've been following the music of the A$AP Mob for a while now and Lords Never Worry was exactly what I expected. First, the production on this project was simply amazing. From a well known producer by the name of AraabMuzik, to a new producer by the name of P On The Boards, every drum and instrument fit perfect with the style of the mob. As far as lyrics, the mob each stuck to their individual style which made them popular and ran with it. Features on this tape were on point, pulling out the likes of Gunplay, Danny Brown, Raekwon the Chef, Jim Jones, & Flatbush Zombies. Specifically A$AP Ferg, Twelvy, and Nast each contributed smooth verses to this project which helped carry the project as a whole. Stand out tracks on this project include Bath Salt - A$AP Ant & Rocky feat. Flatbush Zombies, Work - A$AP Ferg, Y.N.R.E. - A$AP Twelvy, Choppas On Deck - A$AP Ferg, & Full Metal Jacket - A$AP Rocky, Twelvy, Ferg, & Nast. CREATIVE-GOLD.COM gives this mixtape 4/5 GOLD BARS. As we all know Creative Gold & Murph Watkins better know as the duo '97 Bulls, have a EP in the works entitled 72-10. Creative is so enthusiastic about this project that he decided to release a snippet of one of the tracks unmixed and unmastered. Would, I’m So Blessed, and They Don’t Want War. I liked the flow of the album and I didn't get the urge to skip thru it.

Rihanna and Dat Pretty Motherfucka just blessed the Internet with a remix to her song "Cockiness". I didn't think the song could get much more sexy than it already was but Rocky delivered greatness as usual.
The song will be available on iTunes on Thursday, which is also the day of MTV's VMAs where the two are going to open with this dope track.
Issa Dash and Ak are two young enlightened Emcees from Brooklyn that have been buzzing all around the city. They've been affiliated with NY's new generation of Hip Hop cliques such as A$AP, The Pro Era, and specifically Flatbush Zombies, but The Underachievers are serving up something different to be a standalone movement. Their hypnotizing production and positive message is what caught my ear and had me searching for more music by them and also wanting to awaken my 3rd eye. The conscious heavy rhymes from this duo are bound to attract the neo revolutionaries.
Issa says on Leopard Shepard "Elevate your thinking young Gods. Smoke loud, dream free, you'll live large. Respect karma keep progressing and get far" which is an incontestable message that I can definitely support. Their anticipated project INDIGOISM has a release date of September 11. "Bitch I'm Murph Watkins" is what the 22 year old lyricist boasts on one of my favorite tracks by him "My Drunk Song", to imply that you should already know who he is.
Well if you don't know, he is the hottest thing out of Chicago. With his witty word play and braggadocious flow, it's a shame that this guy isn't on yet. This year Murph released his mixtape No Love At All which was a compilation of intoxicating tracks and plenty references to women, liquor, and an occasional "YAH"(his signature sound). (Download it Here) . After the relase of No Love At All, Murph teamed up with Creative Gold to form the unstoppable power duo "97 Bulls". So far they have release 2 songs (Good Morning and Flagrant Foul). We should be expecting some more songs from the 97 Bulls throughout the end of 2012.
As of late, Murph has been hitting the studio hard to complete his album "Love Nothing About It" which he says "It's nothing you've ever heard before". He has proven that this week when he released the 1st single "The Day I Fell In Love" featuring Velvet Gunn and Production by Julian Malone from the 2008ighties. This song is hands down my favorite song by Murph thus far.
This week Nas released the video for the single "Bye Baby". This song is his latest release from his album Life Is Good, that dropped on July 17th.
The album cover of Life Is Good is a picture of him holding his divorced wife's (Kelis) wedding dress. The artwork intrigued me so much, but after hearing the song "Bye Baby" it was clear that Nas was finally letting his fans know that he's human and he's been heartbroken. However, he is moving forward with his life by letting her go. Check out the video ...

On Monday August 13th, New Orleans native and Grammy winning Producer/Writer blazed the Stage at Ella Lounge. The intimate show was hosted by Lowkey of youheardthatnew.com.
The opening acts were Dee Woodz, Fowl, and Fly Union. Before CNC took the stage, Lowkey surprised us with A$VP Rocky and fellow Mob members Nast and Twelvy and Brooklyn's own Troy Ave. Twelvy performed his breakout song "YNRE".
On Tuesday, August 21 st at S.O.B.'s. I'll be competing against 14 other artists in the Faces In The Crowd Showcase. We'll be competing in front of an experienced panel of judges in efforts to win a prize package to enhance our awareness in the music industry.

Monday morning, I was invited on WHCR 90.3 FM "The Voice of Harlem" Radio @ City College with Iesha Sekou. I had a great time on the show. My song "Pose For The Picture" was broadcasted and I had an in depth conversation about the violence in our communities and how music is my outlet from the violence. I'll definitely be back on her show sometime soon.
Time is winding down for the release of Creative Thoughts Volume 2. I'm throwing a listening party at the Black Rose Boutique hosted by Collective Yen Clothing in Brooklyn @ 517 Franklin Ave (Between Fulton and Lefferts Place) on TUESDAY August 7th, which is also my birthday. On Friday June 29, 2012, my team and I out stepped out to The ADIDAS Original Store located in Soho for a Pre Sneaker Con Event. I was fortunate enough to get an interview with Esteban from Fuse TV to talk about the Sneaker Culture being synonymous with Hip Hop. I even met the World Famous Dj Clark Kent who is a known Sneaker Head.

Hailing from the 305, SpaceGhostPurrp and the Raider Klan shut down S.O.B.'s. on Tuesday June 12th for an unforgettable show. He was celebrating the release of his new mixtape "Mysterious Phonk, Chronicles of SPVCXGHXSTPVRRP".
His high energy performance had his loyal followers mobbing on stage and moshing. I'll let the video speak for itself.
On June 7th, Meridian, Mississippi's own Big K.R.I.T. had a listening event at the Apple Store in NYC's Meat Packing District. We previewed the video to his single "I Got This" from his album "Live From The Underground".
There was also a Q&A where he spoke on his inspirations from the album, collaborating with the legendary B.B. King, and remaining humble in the music industry.
He also performed some songs from his mixtapes and new songs from the album.
Yesterday, I had a show at the Pyramid Club in the Lower East Side. I performed "Curry Chicken" , my verse from the "I Don't Like Remix" and "Paper Chasing" with Frank McFly. Here's the video.
